I recently read Lori Demille's first book Lorna's Dreams and greatly enjoyed it. This book was a historical romance with a twist. The heroine and hero fall in love in the beginning and stay in love throughout the many trials and separations they face. This is how marriage is supposed to be, right? The first chapter started slow and gained momentum and left me coming back for more. While this book did not receive professional editing, I feel it had all the qualities that keep a reader engrossed. The ending left me crying, sighing and then wanting more.
