Mayday!!!! Oct 16, 2009
By Romina Wilcox
"Author of Cold Eyes"
Capt. Sully Sullenberger met ex-computer hacker Kevit Mitnick. A thrilling airplane ride gone wrong mixed with software hacking, murders, terrorism. It will keep you at the edge of your seat as Larry Evans emergency ditched his airplane, made mayday calls, communicate with airfields and air traffic control and watch his altitude descent. Lost in the Sky is a fast pace mystery with lots of intense actions and adventures behind the cockpit. Cold Eyes

Prescient Dec 12, 2009
By Jerry K. Sweeney If a book could be said to be a "page-turner," then Lost in the Sky needs must be so labeled. What is most disturbing is that the chain of events is so plausible they could easily be the lead story in the MSM a few years down the road.
A Good Read Apr 04, 2009
By W. G. Taylor "Lost in the Sky" kept my attention, made me want to read more. It piqued my curiosity. I give Doug an A for the technical details. He knew what was going on and knew what he was writing about. And he speaks the truth, I think, about the industry.
It's a good book, I'd recommend it.
Aeronautic Thrill Ride Mar 25, 2009
By Michael Goodell Douglas Perry's "Lost in the Sky" starts with a terrifying dream about a flight gone awry, and doesn't let up until the thrilling conclusion. Part international terrorism thriller, part cyber thriller, and one hundred percent fun to read, "Lost in the Sky" demonstrates the limits of technology, and of human character.
I had some issues with the headings on his various sections, some being "a few months from now," others "a few months before." It was hard to get the chronology right. There were also a few awkward sentences, and some bad punctuation, but they were not common, and they didn't affect my enjoyment of the book.
There were many characters, some of which the reader got to know and like, just before they died. But whoever said only bad people should die? It demonstrates just how arbitrary and cruel life can be.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good thriller, or who likes reading police procedurals.

Implausible Apr 02, 2011
By Dan Geroosk-Argo The first chapter was good, however the story then descended into disjointed implausibility.
Aviation is International. There is no way that the rest of the world would be co-erced into such draconian measures without years of development work.
