Poetry written with feelings May 31, 2007

Several poems in this book describe my feelings for my first love and a couple of them are "Just One" on page 13 and "Midnight Love" on page 19. When I read the poems "Fantasies" on page 15, "The Kiss" on page 21, and "Water, Candles, and You" on page 23 I felt like a very special person had captured in words my feelings for my first love. The poem "Black Cat" on page 16 was special because the words allow me to feel the excitement in the content. There are three other poems that were special to me as I can relate them to individuals in my life and they are "All to Myself" on page 30, "Beautiful" on page 33 and "Will it Last for All time" on page 42. I cannot wait for Ms. Hill to publish her next book of poetry. She is a talented author who captures feelings and puts them in poems that make others hearts soar.

If you are looking for a poetry book that can make you think about your past experiences whether about falling in love, getting out of a bad relationship or making bad life decisions then you have to get this book. Veronica Hill is a poet in the new century. Her poems make you think, laugh and even analyze your own actions. I recommend this book to everyone who likes poetry and even to those who don't. I brought two copies to give to my friends.

As I emersed myself in this book I felt as if I was having a conversation with my best girlfriend; a soul mate who knew exactly what I had been through and what I was feeling. Veronica Hill is a gifted poet who has a unique talent for taking the most complex of emotions and eloquently expressing them in words that anyone could relate. "Love Before Pain" is a great read for anyone who has been in love or feels alone in suffering the pain, anger or hurt of a broken heart.

Reading this book of poetry brought back memories and feelings I didn't know were still alive. I am going on 60 and the poems made me feel like 20! "Soul Kiss" and "The Dance" are my favorite. I am very much looking forward for her next book.
