Love Letters To My Daughter: A Journal of a Father's Love During the First Five Years

During the fall of 1986 Barbara and I learned that our first child was on the way. We had been married since 1980 and believed we were ready for parenthood. As you know we now had a lot of decisions to make. First we decided to take a few days away to gather our thoughts. We had to let this sink in a little. Just after Barbara's first ultrasound visit I began writing a journal about my feelings as the journey expanded, so to speak. I stopped journaling when Ileah was 5 years old. While, in the later years much of our experience together was captured on video this book is the actual text of that journal, complete with pictures. This journal is my memory of the first five years. No one had read it before I gave it to Ileah on her 18th birthday. Only four people had read it before this book was published.
