Part old-fashioned, part new-fashioned, but all love story. Dr. Peter Forster is no Dr. Zhivago, but this isn't revolutionary Russia but Bangor, Maine. The author, Peter Sonderegger challenged me to read this love story and dislike it. Boris Pasternak's is the last love-story I enjoyed immensely so I was surprised I enjoyed this first novel so much. You know the two couples in the book, or someone very close thereto. Did they land on their feet? Try this novel. You'll "love" it.
