It all begins with a touch of Shakespeare. 'Romeo, Romeo, where fore art thou Romeo?' Searching everywhere, from random locations to internet dating sites, it is not long before a likely candidate enters the scene. 'I don't think I drew a single breath for all the time I was with you'. However, in the spirit of a Shakespearean love story, the love perceived as true ends in tragedy. 'Til you gave it back in pieces, broken, bloody, torn'. After striving to regain the love now gone the reader finds themself exploring the darker side of love, that of rejection, digging through layers of depression, grief and cynicism. 'Bitter and twisted honey? Yes, damn it ... yes' Such a journey has its own reward. The pain is transformed into a treasure with the realisation that love is not dependent on anyone else and therefore can never be taken away. Love, indeed all of life, springs from within and that makes anything possible. 'So I must away for ... outside is a life, my life, one day soon'.
