Pictur of WWII from Letters written Home Jan 30, 2010
By L.Bicknell This book provides a view into the world during World War II and the Army outfit called Jeep Shows that entertained the troops. It is an easy read with many references to how much (little) money a soldier had and how they lived.

Fascinating look into the lives of soldiers and those back home Feb 01, 2010

"Tina"
Dedication, patriotism and sacrifice describe the lives of those involved in WWII as well as those back home. This fascinating read exemplifies those character traits as you get a peek into the lives in Mabel's letters. The reader may want to know that James and Elouise did reunite after the war and had two more children, Mary Kathryn (my sister) and Christina Lynn (myself). There are four grandsons and one granddaughter.
