Risin, tempered and Risin again Sep 15, 2009
Anything that can bring to the surface any type of emotion, whether those emotions range from good to bad then that thing has completed it's purpose if of course it was/is that thing's ultimate intent.... 1st a sense of familiarity, then onto a sequence of inquring , but not tedious life events and then onto hightened interests of what's next to come. For a self defined educated, somewhat sophisticated when called for, refined at all times, but don't get it twisted original ghetto born and project(noun not adjective) product, negrodian like me the 'lovie dovie expressions and terms of indearments traded back and forth made me "QUEEZE" to no end. Again the 'QUEEZE' in it's self is an emotion risin. To no end that thing WINS again in it's intention: to bring to the surface emotion if it's that thing's original intent. OK I know you are saying WTF. Ok that's actually something I'd say, but most would think(lol)ly. That thing defined:

AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the gift of such and intriguing story and 'Damn it' why did u leave ME on such a cliff at the end. Did u notice the word 'ME'...Screw everyone else(lol). Send me the second draft immediately. You know the best part to me was the STREET JUSTICE delivered by Trey. Those that know me very well(likes/loves etc..). They know I love food, women, working out, traveling, but I must say that there is nothing better than the sweet deliverance of an old fashioned AZZ Kickin , especially if not only at those times when it is so richly deserved. As I was reading it I almost felt my nipples get hard with excitment(lol). Felt like I was actually kicking that idiot's azz....Whew sure miss the good old daze when i used to deliver my foot to a requesting future hospital patient's AZZ..... Thanks again to the author)S.M Grant) and congrats on such a great read........ :-)

Excellent book! Sep 07, 2009
You will love this book! Initially, I thought the book was about two girlfriends and the men they chose to date. Boy was I wrong. Several chapters into the book, events begin to turn and you find yourself reading a suspense filled novel that you simply cannot put down! Excellent book!

This book is excellent! I felt like I was there with the characters through their ups and downs. I laughed, I cried and I mourned. When I finished the book I craved for more. I personally know the author and I am so glad she told me about this book. I have recommended it to all of my friends and I can't wait for the sequel. Kudos to you, S.M. Gant and please don't have me waiting too long for the sequel.

Mahogany's Soul is the author's first novel but it reads like one of a seasoned veteran. I especially enjoyed the way Mrs. Gant draws you into the lives of each character. She makes you feel as though you are a part of the Bulter/Harrison clan or at least a close friend of theirs. Reading, I felt every emotion they felt. Coming from an avid reader, this is one of the best books I have read and a must read.

Mahogany's Soul is an awesome book!!! It brought tears to my eyes, joy to my heart, and erotic thoughts. I read it within 4 days or so between work and school.
I felt like I was actually there with the characters, and that I could to relate to each of them. I loved the way Mahogany and Trey, my favorite, handled their business.
I'm looking forward to the sequel!!!
