'I will love you so for always...' Jun 27, 2009

"A Book Junkie fiending for a great read...."
Mahogany Harrison makes her grand entrance as a young, sexy, beautiful woman that has a college education, a promising career, and is only missing that special someone in her life. She and best friend, Kori, enjoy the party scene, but they take their responsibilities seriously. Both realize their worth but are attracted to the thug-thugs even though they can't see a future with this type of man. Jon Lawrence Butler, aka Trey, is confident, sexy and has an amazing swagger that intrigues Mahogany. They exist in an on and off-again relationship in which the attraction deepens with each length of absence.
Mahogany's Soul is a beautiful, intimate, love story that exemplifies the struggle in strong personalities but also executes perseverance, acceptance, respect, and a strong familial bond. Ms. Gant introduces sassy, alluring, and super charming characters that captivate the reader and enchants you with realistic scenarios. This was a superb read that carries a refreshing tone with enough of all emotions...love, sensuality, friendships, familial strengths and weaknesses, power struggles, domestic abuse, death, grief, and most of all spiritual relations. S.M. Gant has mos def made an outstanding debut with Mahogany's Soul and my mind continues to spin from some of the chilling, heart wrenching scenes. With a little less detail, less perfect attributes in the characters and more concentration on grammatical errors, I predict great future endeavors from this author!!! Major kudo's!!! 4.65****

Excellent book! Sep 07, 2009
By Love to read You will love this book! Initially, I thought the book was about two girlfriends and the men they chose to date. Boy was I wrong. Several chapters into the book, events begin to turn and you find yourself reading a suspense filled novel that you simply cannot put down! Excellent book!

Great Book Jun 17, 2009

This book was great I couldn't put it down. It was good from the beginning to end and I still wanted more. I love me some Trey he had that swagger going on plus he was a business man. And Mahogany was a very strong woman who stood behind her man through thick and thin. I hope there is a sequal, if so I can't wait.

Mahogany's Soul Jun 02, 2009
By Headley J. White I thoroughly enjoyed Mahogany's Soul; it is a gritty mixture of romance/thriller with a little dash of humor thrown in. The characters are well developed and you find yourself genuinely interested in their welfare. If you have every lived in or traveled to South Florida, you will recognized the landmarks, kudos to the author. I can't wait to see what else happens to Mahogany as her life and career continue to evolve, I highly recommend this book, and you will not be disappointed.
