This is a real gem from a gentle giant. It is the thoughts from Baba's years of meditation, written for the reflective reader who wants to arrive at "mind-fullness" and appreciate the reality of this treasure that we all possess. Simple wisdom that enlightens the soul and at the same time is imminently practical. The spiritual quality of his words help one arrive at a calm and peace. It is a true vademecum for the busy traveler and fills the anxious hours with a peace and calm seldom experienced. For those who search is for a more complete inner peace, this is the mind-fullness that will reward you. You will want to make this gem your source of daily food for thought. Enjoy the banquet.

Choosing the Friend Within Jan 15, 2009
By Susan Berg This simple, yet incredibly profound book has been my daily companion for several years. The first time I read it, I found that my search for my best friend had finally ended. In a kind and gentle way Baba has shown me that I did not need to look any further than my own positive, meditative mind to find all that I had been searching for outside of myself. I have never read another self help or inspirational book again. I don't have to. All I need to do is go within and find my own sustaining and friendly self. I have made a contract to be happy and I am at peace. Words can not convey the joy that awaits you if you are willing to put forth the effort to make this book your daily companion.
You will be blessed, blessed, blessed by your eternal friendly Self!

Surviving in a Chaotic World Nov 17, 2008

Weaver I read a lesson each day--not necessarily in order, though I have read the book that way before, but often simply letting the book fall open to a lesson that has particular significance for me: a lesson I need to contemplate again and again and apply to my life. When I become discouraged and despairing, this little book of thirty lessons and practices sustains me. The spiritual lessons are in fact practical ones, for as we read, we may actually absorb more of the spiritual energy available to us, the energy that supports and sustains us no matter what. We have only to open our hearts and minds, and our own Mind takes on higher dimensions that help us navigate in troubled times.
