Good preperation for young kids Jun 20, 2011
By Saskia Although I've only been hospitalized once this pregnancy and treatment in the Netherlands is slightly different, my son was well prepared when I needed to go to the hospital. He knew what to expect and knew I was coming home again and would feel better some day. The only drawback of the book is that the end is too quick. Mother rabbit comes home without the tube and starts to feel well and the next page the baby is born... My son also expected the baby once I came home from the hospital, but he will now still have to wait for months. Nevertheless, at this time it is one of his favourate books.

My Son Loved It Mar 25, 2011
By D. Boyd

This book really helped my son deal with mommy not being "mommy" during my pregnancy with his baby sister. He would ask me to read it all the time because it was probably the only thing he could relate to, and at the time it was the only thing I could do to spend time with him as we coped with HG.

Very Helpful for Preschool Age kids Sep 09, 2011
By Abra Marie I'm going through my fourth HG pregnancy right now. My 5 year old understand and handles it pretty well (she's seen it twice already), but my almost 3 year old has been really struggling with not having me around as much. She loved this book. She has me read it to her most days. I cried the first time I read it (pregnancy hormones), but it really seems to have helped her understand what is going on and not be so worried anymore.

A Must for HG Families Mar 07, 2011

This book really helped my daughter to understand what was going on with her mommy while I was pregnant and suffering from HG. It also helped me to not be so hard on myself for what I was experiencing.
