Would be a great movie! Sep 22, 2008 Manipulation is fast-paced and compelling. It makes the reader pause and think about the viability of our institutions (corporate, government, military) in this fragile age. Would make a terrific movie. An inspiration for all of us to be informed and to beware. "Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty" is still an appropriate thought, more so than ever. I look forward to a sequel.
Can't Put It Down Sep 16, 2008 I simply could not put this Book down. The plot development was exhiliarating, the character development realistic, the breadth and depth of knowledge on peripheral subjects impressive. I am not normally a political fiction reader. I enjoyed this Book so much it even surprised me. Therefore, I can whole heartedly recommend it to others!
Intelligent fiction! Feb 23, 2008 This is intelligent fiction (that I have a feeling isn't so fictitious). Scott's grasp of the English language is superb. His references to current events, historic facts, literary characters, cultural traits, and general "in-the-know" axioms are praiseworthy. Character development is outstanding - these people are way too real!
I enjoy mysteries and legal thrillers, and this book awakened my curiosity from the get-go. I needed to know! Whatever you do: don't read the end first. It's TOO good!
