Mary: A Love Story: The Message and Story of Mary Magdalene

"My name is Mary. I come from Magdala. Well, actually, I come from a lot more than Magdala, but the time I walked on Earth, the time you heard about, I was born in Magdala. I come from a much greater place than that, however, and so do you." Travel through the ages and hear reflections on love, life, and one of the greatest stories of all time from one of the most amazing women of all time. Mary Magdalene offers us insight into her life with Yeshua (Jesus) and gives her perspective on the events that occurred then and on up to our present day. Mary and Yeshua were very special, as we all are very special. They were very awake beings - very aware of the connection of all life and the divinity within...but these attributes are available to us all. Through the lyrical, poetic, passionate, sometimes funny, always heart-centered unfolding of her story, Mary reminds us how to access these qualities to create a beautiful life for each one of us and all of us...the life she and Yeshua lived.

5A lovely book with a lovely message  Jan 18, 2009
By Kim C. Flodin
I really was moved by this book. I loved the message, of course, but I also enjoyed how the story humanized the (dare, I say it) stale story. I found myself tearing up during Mary's account of Yeshua's tribulations and death. Why don't we always tear up hearing that horrific tale?

My favorite touching moment -- Mary's thought to come back as a Palestinian or Israeli woman, breaking bread with the "other", possibly being killed, and coming back again and again until their bread-breaking becomes a celebration. Lovely.

And I loved the last line. I'm a sucker for good last lines and this book had one.

5An enchanting and inspirational love story  Jan 27, 2009
By Nancy Turner "Reader"
I feel like I'm sitting in a room with Mary, by the fireplace, with our feet up....and she's telling me the story of her life - a very personal experience. She's an amazingly wonderful person to get to know, with amazingly wonderful things to tell us.

5A Very Progressive Version Of An Incredible Love Story  Dec 10, 2008
By Chris Fenzick
This book takes my breath away. I've always thought that the ultimate embodiment of love (Jesus) would have an ultimate love story while on earth. This novel explores the possibilities that any of us can achieve in the area of a loving relationship with another. A great read!

5Shift your vibration  Jan 30, 2009
By Sheryl Sever "Coach Shera"
I am very familiar with the TRUE story of Mary of Magdelane and Jesus. After reading Mary, A Love Story, I experienced my whole vibration (energy field) shift with an expanded, more compassionate presence in my interactions with others. Through the heart of Mary, author Marianne Stevens offers a beautiful story along with subtle, yet powerful affirmations and inquiries that can transform the way you see yourself in the world to a whole new level of responsibility, compassion, service, love, and deep peace.
