Roadmap to becoming a top producer in any environment Feb 16, 2010
By Walter H David Masover's book vividly illustrates why a whole lot of "salespeople" out there need to adapt - and quickly! Many may have lost their footing not necessarily because the economy turned south, but because a lot of consumers' abandoned their general openness to "purchase first and ask questions later." Pre-2008 sales was an easy, low-hurdle exercise when people had easy credit, felt wealthy and didnt see the need to choose between what they wanted and what they needed. Now everyone is making well-considered choices about what, when, where and why to buy.
David's book is the roadmap to sales success no matter what the environment may be, and it is particularly important for ANYONE who is interested in retooling. Consumers are still buying but they are increasingly selective, and David shows in great detail, exactly how to engage them.
I think it will become obvious within a couple pages why David is an authority on this subject, and why he was so successful in "writing the book" on sales and branding successes at several top companies.
A MUST READ for Anyone in Sales at any Stage Apr 24, 2012
By Kimberly Kesterke I have started my sales career in the probably the worst economic times and this sales book was just what I needed to gain confidence and win deals. I was going around aimlessly trying to shoot a dart at the board and wondering why I didn't have the same luck as the other reps who just seemed to fall into a great deal. I laugh at that statement now because sales really is not about luck, but rather about a process. The ones who understand the process are the ones who fall into the great deals. I have to say that now I have a greater understanding of a day-to-day structure, and have been more successful in closing deals. I am not yet where I want to be, however with David's book and the tools that are provided, I know that I will surpass my sales goals for the year.
Excellent simplification of sales process Jan 18, 2012
By John Bara This book really allows you to understand the process of selling. It is set out clearly and if you follow the simple steps you will see your sales numbers increasing. In my small business I have implemented the system and my sales team feel more organized and motivated. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in increasing their sales. Whilst it does not incorporate any radically new ideas it allows you , as a salesman , to use your time more efficiently.
Innovative & Valuable Sales Book! Sep 13, 2011
By Brian Of all the sales and business books that I have read, I found "Mastering Your Sales Process" to be refreshingly differently. Instead of just focusing on characteristics, strategies, and motivational words, like most sales books, it focuses on relevant and useful systems that can be adapted for success. I recommend it for sales professionals of all ages and experiences levels to define and refine your own sales process.
Sales and integrity go hand in hand Feb 21, 2011
By blah This is one of those books that makes you feel good about being in sales and being a salesperson. It debunks a lot of popular misconceptions that sales is about deceit and that a good salesman can sell anyone anything. This book is first and foremost that a salesperson should be honest and have integrity, and in order to be a good salesman one should become good at qualifying prospects. This way a salesperson can focus on selling to people or organizations who truly need the product or service being sold rather then ramrodding something down their throats and doing whatever it takes to get the sale.
Overall I think by systematizing the process as described in the book a sales person or team will be able to reduce the stress often associated with selling while increasing sales.
