Not What it Claims to Be Apr 15, 2011
By Nathan S Andrews I rarely write reviews for anything, but felt the need to inform people about this book. Dr. Crowley appears to have an innovative method for helping people with mental blocks for their problems, specifically focusing on baseball players in this book. However, this book is more of a commercial or endorsement for his method and his consultation than it is an actual instructional or self-help manual. It could be comforting to people to know there are others with the same problems or motivating for them to seek out help, but there is no prescription or specific instructions on how to make these changes or improvements. There are many testimonials and stories about how Dr. Crowley has helped people, and he briefly describes his techniques, at the same time being careful to not completely reveal his secrets. I suppose this is so that if you are more interested you can contact him and pay him for a personal session. If you are looking for a book that will actually tell you how to get over the "yips" or some other mental block this is not the book for you. If you would like to learn about a method and a professional that could help you with these problems, you may be satisfied.
Dr. Crowley's Technique Works Wonders!!! Apr 22, 2011
By Gerry Medearis Dr. Crowley has convinced me that whatever he does with baseball players works successfully and quickly. He mentions trying to spell out his method in only words would be like reading a book on brain surgery and being able to operate on a patient. His case examples of high school, college, minor league and major league players prove over and over that he has the key to unlock any throwing or hitting problems.
He's pinned it! It's Mind Over Everything Else. Apr 11, 2011
By Webstitcher Any ball player will benefit from this book, you can't help but improve your game. But the true beauty is that you don't have to be a ball player to get a big boost in whateveer you do. Dr. Crowley has pegged the performance demon perfectly. It's always going to be left side, right side conflict and learning how to overcome the limitations we put on ourselves is a moment of liberation. His insight beats every "self improvement" book you've ever heard of hands down. If you don't get it the first time, re-read it, and suddenly the light turns on and "bam" you're back in control. Thank you Dr. "Yips".
