Terrorism at a microscopic level Nov 20, 2006
By Christine This book by Dawn Northrop is FANTASTIC! The plot is well thought out as are the characters. Lex goes undercover, posing as her dead sister, to inflitrate a compound that performs medical tests using humans as their subjects. Their goal? To kill the high-profile victims on their list with the newly perfected nanites, the microscopic smart robots. Can Lex find a way to stop them without her cover being blown?
You'll remember this book every time you sneeze. I couldn't put the book down!
Concept fine, delivery disappointing Aug 12, 2007
By Jonathan Moss It's been a while that I have commented on a book, but this one was frustrating and disappointing enough to do another review. I liked the premise of the book. Plenty of plausibility and the technology is largely among us. Although, I would have preferred one of Ms. Northrop's alternate endings. This one was pretty flat.
Worse than this, however, is that I am not sure whether to be more angry at the author or the editor. The spelling was so horrible I felt that I was reading a paper from one of my C-student friends back in college. With so much electronic checking, there should be a spell checker or grammer checker that can help with these errors. And any self respecting editor should be smart enough or observant enough to find the remaining errors. If I wasn't stuck on an airplane while reading this book, it probably would have found a circular file before I got to the end of it.
If I, a mathematician, get this frustrated with the spelling, just think of the lit professors and English majors who read this.
Fast paced great read! Jul 11, 2007

With fast paced action, characters you love and hate, the theat of what could actually happen with our technology is frightening. Good plot, and stunning results!
Highly recommend

Thought Porvoking Dec 11, 2006
By Ms. Suzanne M. Hawkins Intrigue with a new twist or a new character in every one of the 100 chapters beginning with page 1. Alarmingly realistic that so few terrorists can infiltrate and disrupt the highest levels of government with an intellignet micro microbe technology that is self excited by very common and natural means. Fortunately to date there is always a heroine to foil the evil. DAD
