I have never cruised before, and so I found Ms. Brubeck's book to be incredibly informative. As I have a four year-old child as well, I liked reading the tips and reviews about the different children's programs on different cruise lines. In addition, I enjoyed seeing the many photos of the different cabins to get the gist of the sizes. The list of websites for additional tips is also a great wealth of info. Finally, the part about Disney cruise lines has convinced my husband that we will have to take a Disney cruise sometime in the future.
Great book, and I recommend it highly.

I found this book to have concise, valuable information to prepare us to cruise as a family. It has taken the mystery out of what to expect on a cruise ship. Ms. Brubeck has taken her years of cruising experience and provided valuable information and insight on what to expect and how to plan a worry free cruise. This book will save you hours of research as well as give you the confidence to book your first cruise. I highly recommend it.

After reading this book, I felt like I had a great comparison of the different cruse lines and how they each relate to a family cruising together. We have been on a Disney Cruise with a three year old, and I still felt this book was an excellent resource because the detailed explanations and pictures allowed me to get a great idea of many other cruise lines and their amenities as well. If you are contemplating a cruise with kids definitely get this book!

This book was an easy read and was incredibly informative. Ms. Brubeck gives wonderful advice for the novice cruiser and I can't wait to get started on planning my first cruise!
