He Earned Every Star Nov 30, 2009
By Gregory Paul Jankowski If you want a good adventurous read This Is The Book.
I love reading this book! I was impressed by the raw emotions I felt as I read each page, the realistic youthful response and the fantastic imagery. After reading the first 4 pages I was hooked. I am rather inclined to identify with the youthful Pete, I cared about his story. I identified him without the author stating his age. I feel this Young Adult book should be marketed to the youth of this country. It would really blow their socks off! I consider this book to be right up there with the Alex Rider series. Ike has shown us what a true Hero is.
All I can say is that this book is fantastic. I should mention that the Title grabbed me, but I usually don't read a lot of Historical Fiction. However I can easily see this book being made into a movie some day. More Than A Job, An Adventure is a great book for anyone, if you don't believe me look inside and read the first free pages here on Amazon and see for yourself!

I loved reading this book More Than a Job, An Adventure. The book kept me wanting to see what happened next until I was finished with the book. I believe that everyone who likes history and believes in our men and women who fight for our country should read this book.

Very Interesting!!!!! May 20, 2007
By Dragon 60 Author Anderson obviously put a lot of time into researching the material for his book. I found MORE THAN A JOB, AN ADVENTURE to be a book that I didn't want to put down once I started reading. The action is fast paced with a lot of continunity. The reader wanted to keep reading just to see what the next exciting episode would bring. Highly recommend!!!

Navy Life! Ike Anderson grabs the flavor and reality of the life of an enlisted sailor during the Vietnam War. From the jungles in-country, to the deck of a venerable seaplane tender during an extended cruise to Southeast Asia's WESTPAC, the book will be familiar to thousands of men who made similar trips!
His novel catches the spirit and reality of the Navy from the perspective of a young man from the west who grows to adulthood during his enlistment.
Not just a good story, the book speaks to the authors own experience and memory of details of a Navy life.
A great reading experience! The adventure begins with the first page!
