More to Love, by Elizabeth Patch, is a BEAUTIFUL book.

Each paragraph contains an outstanding life-message. The illustrations are beautiful and inspiring and should be hanging in museums as a tribute to well-rounded women everywhere.

I hope we see much, much more from Elizabeth Patch.

4Great Illustrations!  Mar 02, 2009
By suzyQ
Elizabeth Patch's charming illustrations show modern plus-size women dealing with every day situations with a positive attitude, and her writings condense complex feelings into short, memorable text(without getting all "New Age" or too sweet). It's hard to pick a favorite page, but I really love the illustration of a woman at the mall holding up a teeny tiny pair of jeans; the accompanying text is "SILLY QUESTION: Should I really hate myself because of the size of my jeans?" Or maybe its the QueenSize Queen on her throne or the "Dream On" Rocker girl, or the wildly costumed Apple & Pear shaped ladies...Her illustrations should do for big girls what "Maxine"did for crabby old ladies: give us a bunch of fun characters that we can relate to and love! I will keep this little book on my desk for whenever I am in a bad mood. I give it a 4 only because I wish it was longer!

5Happiness in print  Mar 02, 2009
By Patricia L. Mcwhirr "Patti McGuarino"
More to Love by Elizabeth Patch is a book I think everyone should own. Most of my childhood, my teenage years, and my young adulthood I dealt with feelings of inferiority, low self-esteem, and a VERY negative self image - all because of how I looked. I always thought I was too fat, my nose was too big, my chest was too flat, I was too short, etc. I never knew how to be happy with myself and accept what I was given - until therapy - ha. Anyway, I wish I had this book to refer to when I was feeling down - it would've helped tremendously. The lessons taught in this book are what thousands of dollars of therapy did for me. This would've been a lot less expensive and a lot more fun - just look at the adorable illustrations, the bright, happy colors, and the self-affirming statements! Thank you, Elizabeth Patch, for making all of us who may never be on the cover of Vogue believe that we are beautiful and worthwhile just as we are!!

5chocolate chip cookies for your soul!  Mar 01, 2009
By J. Baker "cute & curvy!"
I've read a lot of books on the topic of body image and self esteem for plus-size women. Some are angry, some are funny, some study the topic in detail with lots of statistics and footnotes, some give techniques for visualizing a new body, other give techniques for dissolving the very real pain that comes with being fat in a thin-centric society, and many are stories about "How I learned to love myself even though I had a miserably unhappy childhood as a fat girl". This book, however, is quite different in 2 ways. First, the writing is short, sweet and to the point. Who can beat a line like "Fat is not a word that fits me"? And second, the illustrations are just adorable! A great gift book for any woman on your list who could use a smile.

5Fantastic empowering book for women and young girls  Dec 30, 2009
By A. Moore
Elizabeth Patch and her book "More to Love" is a fantastic tool for parents and teachers and to share far and wide to help improve girls and women self esteem and overall perception of body image. In the 21st century it is more important than ever for girls and women to be empowered in regards to body image and what is healthy and to understand what is most important is to be healthy no matter what size or shape one's body is. Wonderful and kudos to Elizabeth for this book that is making a big difference internationally!
