By Movie Dad If you are a movie lover this book is for you! Teri Haux peels back the hidden layers of manipulation used by Hollywood producers, directers, and filmmakers to subvert the family. The Five Principles outlined in Movie Viewer Extraordinaire are tools to counterattack the Hollywood onslaught. A must read for parents who desire to gain more control over their families daily consumption of media. It will change the way you watch movies!
Insightful Read Dec 08, 2009
By Traveling Irene I read this book before the 2009 swearing in of our current presidency, and many of the ideas that Ms. Haux presents in this book are becoming clearer as I watch the media coverage of it all. Also, it is interesting to watch what new movies are coming out and taking what I learned in this book to the theater with me to help sort through some of those emotions Hollywood tried to induce. I also appreciate the sound guidelines she offers for helping decipher appropriate viewing for my children.
