A Wonderful Life's Journey Sep 19, 2009
By Calvin L. Jackson We all have a life's journey, and sometimes we falter along the way. Deacon Daniel Olin Jones never faltered on his life's journey. His life lessons were not all easy, but with his unwavering faith in God, he knew his true identity and which path to take. We can all use Deacon Daniel Olin Jones life lessons as examples when we are seeking guidance in our life journey. I loved the book, from cover to cover.

An inspiring family story Nov 01, 2009
By Mary Ann Staley Mary Day lovingly presents an inspiring biography of her father whose ideals, faith and energy shaped not only his family but also his community. His love for his family still abides as his children live by his shining example. What impresses me so profoundly about him is his lifelong learning, his courageous optimism and his devotion to his family and friends.

A Heartwarming Story Oct 29, 2009
By Sandra S. Gaffigan This story is from the heart. Mary Jones Day writes movingly about a cherished father who surmounted the realities of his time: segregation and poverty. The author conveys her father's courage and strength through happy times, hardship and tragedy. A worthwhile read.

VPH Oct 09, 2009

I simply enjoyed the history and the story itself. Often times unless someone steps to the plate and tells the story, so many good things that a person has done in life is never recognized. It is obvious that the love that a daughter had for her father enabled her to produce a remarkable story.
