5My forever favorite A+  Oct 14, 2004
By Interracial Romance Collector
This is one of the best interracial books I have read this year. My Forever love is filled with plot twist, romance, suspense, and everlasting love between the two characters Lauren and Steven.

Lauren was out jogging with her sister in the park when she noticed Steven Young looking at them. Thinking he was interested in her sister Lauren was taken back when Steven asked her out on a date and was hesitant to accept because of coming out of a bad relationship. So, she told him no at first. Steven was about to take no as an answer and asked her again hoping she wouldn't say no again.

He knew how some African American women didn't want to date a white cops. Lauren finally agreed to go out with him, because she thought he would make excellent character for her next romance novel.

They go through a lot of obstacles to be together like his roomate's dog almost attacking Lauren in the shower, Steven finding the disk Lauren had on him as a character for her romance novel, their first huge fight and how they came back together.

My forever love is a heart-string pulling romanace that only IR read would enjoy.

4A Very Sensual Read  Mar 22, 2007
By P. Callen "Book Dweller"
Well I got this book because the previous reviews were so funny citing too much "crying" going on in the story between the characters I was intrigued and had to see for myself since others had really liked it. I can say that I found the story most enjoyable and definitely the main characters had very good chemistry. Now this is a romance and for thoae folks who read romances and don't undersrand the formula yet then you are not a true romance reader. It is always an important element for any romance that the two main characters have an instant attraction,so I think when Stephen caught sight of the beautiful Lauren while he jogged through the park it was a perfect, because he had not been looking for a woman to fit into his life she just happened by. And he in true romantic form made ssure he continued to jog everyday in the park at the same time so he could see her again. Now some folks who read this thought this was stalking, NOT, clearly the man had to work up his nerve to meet her, which by the way was very funny first meeting. For a interracial romance I think this story was great it didn't dwell on the tiresome cliches of the white man and black woman relationship. Clearly, their are going tobe problems because there is always going to be intolerance somewhere, but not so much so that writers rely on the same old cliches to build conflict in their story. I like the fact that tis stroy had a mystery intangled in their relationship. I would have given this book a five star rating but I thought that Stephen and Lauren could have been better developed dropping last minute surprises about Stephen's wealth and the fact that he is a very passionate romantic man needed stronger development so when he and Lauren shared their tears it wouldn't have seemed so silly. These two have bee hurt before by people they thought they could trust only to be betrayed later, they had this in common
but it just didn't get developed enough so that the reader could really understand Stephen when he goes into a rage of anger when he thinks Lauren has betrayed him. So I say buy this book if you are a real romance fan, its funny, passionate, emotional but very sensual.

5Great!  May 25, 2005
By Tooty Fruity "Tiger lover"
I really enjoyed this book. I thought the interactions between Stephen and Lauren were very believable. I was caught up in the emotions of each character. Lauren's sisters are a true mess. Stephen is confident, strong and very passionate. Lauren is also self-sufficient and strong but a little leary of committment at first. The trials they go through will keep you glued to the pages from beginning to the end. You can tell that Ms. Osahor put alot of thought and detail into this storyline. I reccomend this one for your collection.

2Could have been better written  Apr 08, 2006
By K. Brown
This book had the potential to be really good, but the author failed to pull it off. One, the book felt very rushed and the relationship moved entirely too quickly for me. One minute the hero is watching the heroine from afar trying to build the courage to make his first move, and in the next the couple is in a relationship and the heroine has decided to move with the hero to another city. I personally don't know of anyone who would move to another city with someone they have known for less than three months. Also, I found it a bit scary how much everyone cried in the book, especially the male characters. I am all for men showing their feelings, but it was a bit much in the book. The heroines attitude towards the middle and end of the book became so annoying at times that I couldn't wait for the book to end. She was always judging the hero based on past relationships and assigning blame to others instead of looking within and questioning whether some of the things that have happened to her might be of her own doing. Lastly, there were far too many spelling and grammatical errors for my liking. A few I can deal with, but when I want to take out a red pen and make changes, that's a problem!
