My Husband Ran Off with the Nanny and God Do I Miss Her

Carly Macalister intended to live the perfect life in the ideal world. When her husband, Paul, leaves his job to become an artist (with no talent whatsoever, but he loves the idea of it!), she still has Patrice, the young and lovely nanny who keeps everything and everyone together; and childhood friend Alex, who never stopped loving Carly and shares with her a tragedy long past but never resolved. A few days before Christmas, Paul and Patrice disappear, leaving Carly with financial problems that must be resolved, a bruised ego that must be healed, and a desperate need to be strong for her children. In Tracy Davis’s novel My Husband Ran Off with the Nanny and God Do I Miss Her, the author creates a funny, poignant, and sometimes heartbreaking story of one woman’s struggle to survive. From the first frantic scene to the surprise ending, readers will be carried along by this wonderfully compelling page turner.

5As a former Marine, I never thought I would be reading a book with a blazing pink cover.  Nov 10, 2009
By Jeffrey Hunter
Yes, this book is as funny as the title would have you believe. In fact, hilarious, without a whiff of self-pity on the part of the author, Tracey Davis. It's a merry-go-around out of control with characters spinning off the pages. But here's my big "takeaway". For everyman who has a "little" sister, this is a must read. You know how your little sister looked up to you as the almighty. And, you also know how you often took advanatge of this hero worship. Well, this book will set you straight and have you calling your little sister before you're halfway through. Can't say more - don't want a plot spoiler. My Husband...is a comedic romp but it is also a heart grabbing emotional tour de force. A big salute to Tracey Davis and I'm awarding a sixth star for bravery.

2Just OK  Aug 12, 2009
By Mama in MA
Bought this for a beach read..it was "OK"...it seemed like it was trying to hard to make the characters over the top and outrageous to some extent.. the storyline in many parts was just not believable (for example, her relationship with her boyfriend)... The book had many fun parts but I've read better beach reads that I'd pick over this one any day.

5If your Husband ran off with your Nanny - your better off by your self  May 24, 2010
By Ora L. Nissim "book club"
If you want a good laugh that we can all relate too, this is your book. We've all been through experiences that we can look back and laugh at, Tracy has a great way of bringing out these experiences in her hysterical book. I enjoy every page! Very fast reading, and a lot of humor. Inspiring for single moms and yet is a romantic comedy. Highly reccomend it to any person who likes real entertainment.

5A Great Read For The relationship Oriented  Apr 17, 2010
By John J. Tantillo "John Tantillo, The Marketing Doctor"
Tracy Davis in her Book hits it out of the park in terms of outlining the dynamics that make up contemporary family life. Her insights are funny, provocative and profund. Ms Davis's family and characters are complex and real and her descriptions of their interactions with her and each other a howl! I simply loved the book.
