A good book on many levels... Sep 01, 2010
By Charlotte This book is not only a pleasant set of stories about the love and care of a veterinarian for the animals she serves, but also gives insight into the personal life of a remarkable professional woman. Dr. Latham's inner turmoil and the choices she makes among her loves - her husband, her children, and her job - speak to the delicate balance we all seek to achieve in our daily lives. It is a joyful testimony to the hope that such a balance can be reached, without undue sacrifice and regret. Besides, it will make you laugh and cry, just as a good book should.
Excellent reading Feb 24, 2009
By Arnold This is a heartwarming and informative book for anyone who loves animals. You get to step into the shoes of a small animal veterinarian and experience her life without going to vet school; the struggles, the triumphs and her love of animals. This is a book for everyone!
