1Pure science fiction  Apr 04, 2009

What is truly amazing in our country is that someone who can't write an e-mail while in work, can have the drive and capability of publishing a book.

For anyone who reads this "book" and has not worked at NAVSSES, understand that this is an attempt by the author to trash his co-workers. The reality is his inability to properly fit in the work office and conscious effort to be unproductive to the Navy. He never attained an engineering degree (despite often stating that he was one), and spent his career envious of promotional opportunities for engineers. Please note that this book was written during his work hours in the office.

I can attest that this command employs a great number of technical and non-technical people, who have done some incredible things for the Navy and the fleet sailors. For someone to write a book and trash his fellow workers is pathetic and a real shame.

A book needs to be published on how difficult and time consuming it is to remove non-performers from the work place. Save your $18.99 and don't buy this "National Enquirer" publication.

1Navsses etc,etc  May 30, 2009
By Michael J. Lucci
The book is a fraud. It reveals no names of the alleged perpetrators, it is poorly written,it is replete with errors;the publisher should have hired a competent editor to oversee this farce. The author used this eye catching title to portray himself as God's gift to the Navy. His incessant bragging of his alleged achievements, his constant putdown of his superiors classifies him as a super egotist. I worked in NAVSSES for almost twenty years and found NAVSSES'engineering and problem solving accomplishments provided the Navy.s fleets with the excellent support enabling them to be the world's finest !

1A Disgrunts Tale  Apr 08, 2009
By gspns
Our story begins with our hero being passed over for a promotion. Halfway through the story our hero finds himself, again, being passed over for a promotion. Finally, at the end, we find our poor hero being passed over for a promotion. Is ths book interesting or what ? Accuses the company he worked for most of his career, and is now paying for his retirement, as being wasteful and scandalous. I guess he's never worked for a government contractor; They're never wasteful. Comes back with a vengence, and trashes his co-workers, and the company that employed him most of his life. They'll publish anything these days.

1One star is too many!  Jul 21, 2009

This publication is nothing more than a disgruntled employee with way too much time on his hands. How did he find the time when he was obviously more of a workaholic than Edison? (At least that's what Mr. Lueder claims by his 'many accomplishments' in this rag.) It's easy when you write it at work...or shall I say...a member of the very same country club he writes about!
Adam Sandler in the movie ANGER MANAGEMENT sings the song I FEEL PRETTY. For the same reasons, Larry Lueder writes this book. If this didn't do the trick, then I hope that all profits realized by the author on the sale of this book (let me change that, venting vehicle) goes to the purchase of his much needed medications.

3Maybe next time  Aug 12, 2009

I have worked at the subject "pigpen" and can personally find truth in what Leuder is saying. I think Leuder blew a chance to tell a story that was worth telling with his poor usage of grammar, needless cussing and cheap shots at ex-coworkers.

So, what is wrong with NAVSSES and why should we care?
