A Very Funny Book May 16, 2006
By R. C. Compitello
"RC"
I took this book with me on spring break vacation with my husband and kids. I read poolside at the hotel with a huge grin on my face. I found myself totally absorbed and didn't put the book down back in the room. As I laughed out loud several times, my family asked me to read what was so funny. They shared in my delight and laughed along with me as I read to them! This is a warm and entertaining book about a character who begins to feel like family. Myrna Ericksen has a knack for endearing the characters in her book to you...and you are left feeling as if you know them! A funny, heartwarming book. Lyle will make you smile, laugh out loud and leave you feeling happy!
My kind of guy! Apr 02, 2006
By Renee Pastor This was a great book, funny and yet the kind that makes you laugh at yourself if we were to be truly honest about it. Lyle makes you want to know him hoping that some of his frank, honest and simple view of life will rub off on you. Lyle is not sophisticated, but so refreshing to meet. Unlike Jerry Lewis and other comedians, Lyle wishes to do right by the world, loves life and everyone in it, especially his accommodating and adoring wife. Would that people were humble and sincere and even child-like as loveable Lyle. This book will heal what ails you in more ways than one, and you will come away relaxed and happy that you met this unique guy.
