Not the last book I read but the one before Dec 06, 2010
By V. John Sauret It is entertaining to get to know Camilla as her personality is gradually revealed by the author. Like peeling the layers of an onion, readers learn by bits and pieces what this woman is and why she is the way she is. She is by no means perfect, yet she is not such a psychological mess that one wonders how she manages to tie her shoes each day.
The plot and characters have been carefully constructed. Each person plays a role vital to the outcome. Their personalities support their behavior. The author never leaves her readers scratching their heads wondering why a certain character acted as they did. There is always ample evidence supporting the behavior as logical.
While the subject matter itself is serious, there is a certain amount of levity in the dialogue to elicit a few chuckles.

Very, very good first novel! Sep 19, 2009

It is justly said that every happy family is happy in about the same way, but that every dysfunctional family is unhappy in its own unique way. This story is unique.
I have never read a murder mystery quite like it. While it isn't particularly suspenseful, it nevertheless held my interest from its beginning to its doubly surprising finale.
I wouldn't be surprised to find it in movie format on Lifetime some evening.
TWISTED!!! Feb 20, 2011
By Cassandra Lanning This book is awesome! Could not put it down. It sucks you in. Reading it I became trapped in the mind of Camilla, not a pleasant place to be. Have rarely had a book grip me that way. But was blown away by the twisted......... !!! Can't even tell you! You will have to read it. Guaranteed to blow your mind!
Captivating Jan 17, 2010

This was a fast reading book that captured me from the beginning. With a writing style of her own, I found it very refreshing. Perfect for a vacation or airplane trips was my thought afterwards when you want something to take your time (and mind) away for those few hours. Absolutely blown over by the twist that comes!
Read the other reviews and totally agree that this would make a great Lifetime movie! Looking forward to more books by this author.
Inexpensive get-away Dec 02, 2009
By Heidi Eggebroten This was a great read, one that took me "out of house" without leaving the couch. Even those "smarty-pants" portions...those parts where you just know what will happen....took me by surprise.
