Back to Basics Feb 28, 2010
By John C. Milazzo
"dist expert"
In my opionion(after 40 years in business),the success or failure of an enterprise is not comming up with the next "big idea". It's about executing on fundamental principles that have been proven effective in American companies by academics and business leaders. Mr Xavier has encapsulated some of these key learnings that have significant relevance in todays business climate.A perfect book to hand out to your direct reports for open discussion or used to provide a template for one on one coaching sessions. A must read !

A Great Read Mar 13, 2010
By R. Fisher
"R. Stewart Fisher"
Stephen Xavier's marvelous book, "Not on My Watch," is an insightful guide on what true business leadership really means. It is based on his many years of experience as "America's Top Coach."
Too many business books center on gimmicks. Not Stephen's! He shows that real leaders have a genuine interest in their subordinates. They develop them not only as members of a team, but as human beings as well.
True leaders are unflinchingly honest, sincere, and forthright in all of their dealings. They are also humble and recognize their own need for improvement before they can coach others. They use years of experience and their own leadership mistakes to give them insights for developing others as future leaders. And they realize that grooming these future leaders is a responsibility that is theirs alone and cannot be delegated.
"Not on My Watch" is a refreshingly honest book and provides tips that really work. It focuses on leaders with "emotional intelligence," men and women who truly understand and relate to others on a personal and human level.
