3Roma  Feb 15, 2008

maybe i should have read some of the reviews, i thought this was about rome, I didn't know it belonged in the nerd section of the book store. It was not bad at the start but then it started in with the elves and dwarves. I had to close it for a second and decide if I should finish it. At least it is well writen and I will probally read the second one.

this should be in the dungeons & dragons list. This is not Roman historical fiction.... sadly disappointed.

5Novo Roma - Review - First  Jan 03, 2007

Novo Roma Review

Where to begin? I was lucky to receive my copy in between Christmas and New Years and a good thing it was too. This story is extremely well written and held my interest from start to finish, making it almost impossible to put it down. It has so many hidden depths that I would recommend this book to anyone and the idea that the second instalment in the trilogy will be developed this year is great. You must read this for yourself, it is a fresh look at this genre. I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The New York Times review said "Stunningly conceived and dazzlingly told. This is one epic destined to become a fantasy classic" and I could not agree more.
