5Hysterically funny!  Jun 01, 2007
By Eleanore M.
Isn't it annoying when the doorbell rings and you're right in the middle of something? And then what do you see when you open the door but "religion salespeople". There are dozens of great stories in this book about how people have chased away these annoying people. Each story is funnier than the last. My favorite story was the one about the big snake.

I couldn't stop laughing. It gave me a lot of good ideas to try out the next time my doorbell rings and it's "one of them".

5Amusing testimonies and potential guide.....  Nov 12, 2005
By M. Andersen
Funny as hell, something one can share with friends or pick up when looking for a good laugh. How many times have you sat around with friends and talked about the last group of such n such who came around and annoyed you, or some funny thing that your friend did when he or she was last pestered? I wouldn't call the book offensive, unless your one of the ones going door to door, even some of my friends of those faiths would laugh along with me.

5Sassy and Succinct!  Jul 07, 2008
By Bronwynn Forrest Torgerson
The Fish and her friends don't mince words -- 'Hell' is what you're gonna catch if you come at them thumping your Bible. Loved this book! So many fiendishly imaginative methods of fending off the Fundies, and the anecdotes are told with great relish. This book belongs in every Pagan's ammunition pile!

5Not offensive at all to me  Dec 01, 2005
By Donald R. Gordon
Leslie is a personal friend of mine, and I bought the book simply because she had written it. Having read it, if my sides had split any more with laughter, I'd be needing major surgery right now. Well done, Leslie, and a forwarning to any Jesus Freaks that knock on my door in the future...I'm well-armed from this book and I'm gonna use this info against you. Hahaha!

1MIght have loved this when I was ten.  Apr 11, 2012

But as an adult, I can't believe that other adults find this funny or clever or anything but juvenile and ridiculously rude. If it matters, I'm not a religious person, and I've even gotten into (polite) arguments with fundamentalists who wanted to convert me. If you're a fan of Mad Magazine, this might be for you. If you're a grown-up, steer clear.
