Old Friends: and Other Stories

Adventure and mystery stories inspired by Sir. John Buchan's Thirty-Nine Steps. Early readers respond: "Lovely stories--great use of local lore, historical detail, mystery and intrigue, and the human friendships that are the real backbone of any good story. I love the way the past leaves clues for the future and the present discovers windows into the past in all these tales. The manuscript is great--great characters, great sense of drama, and a fascinating link between the past and the present." "What a read! Your masterful use of historical and local detail is just amazing. The suspense does build up to the end, and it is a complete surprise. Very well done." "Exciting! A real adventure. Wonderful. Thanks for doing this and for sending me a copy." "This is a sweet story with a happy and satisfying ending. I enjoyed reading this. Thank you for sharing it with me."

What a great summer read for residences living around Pentwater and Ludington Michigan. The book brings together history and local lore for a delightful summer read.

It captures the spirit of a young man running the Lake Michigan shoreline and boy scout camp. Something for young and old.

Don't miss it!

Laude Hartrum, Ludington Michigan
