Uplifting, Inspirational Story Feb 08, 2010

"On Eagle's Wings" is the uplifting, inspirational story of Mike Moehrl, a seemingly ordinary man whose extraordinary courage, perseverence, and faith enabled him to face the challenges following the accident that left him paralyzed. Not only has he overcome overwhelming obstacles, but he has also created a full, abundant life for himself and touched the lives of those around him. We can all learn something from Mike's approach to life and his enduring faith.
The author, Joy Peeler, has told Mike's story in such a way that the reader feels as if they know him personally. The numerous quotes from Mike's family, friends, caregivers, clients, and co-workers highlight his humble manner, unending patience, and wonderful sense of humor. You'll finish this book feeling inspired to live your life to the fullest, having heard the story of one man who is doing just that.

Author Joy Peeler has written a beautiful tribute to a friend. It is heart warming to learn how a whole community contributed to the survival of a person in need.

Mike Moehrl's book, On Eagle's Wings is a moving story of a man's struggle to put his life back together after becoming a ventilator-dependent quadriplegic 28 years ago. Come along with Mike as he triumphs over his disability and continues to inspire his community, family, and friends. Learn about the importance of people joining together to assist a friend in need. Your idea of unselfish deeds and the resilency of human nature will be put in a new light. Read this book although small in statue, its message is huge.

I have met Michael and was profoundly impressed with his attitude and in total wonder
of his courage to live an exemplary life without bitterness or fatigue of trying. Hard
for me to talk of him without crying. I as well as the rest of us -- have had my
CROSSES to bear -- and when I met Mike -- I could only say -- "it could have been more
severe" and I have to again be in AWE of the courage of my brother -- Mike. God bless
us all -- and Thank You God for allowing Mike to come into my life journey of experiences
-- a GIFT. Very appreciative that Joy has written his story -- and "enduring FAITH"
summarizes Mike's Gift to me. AGAIN -- Thank you God for Mike.
