Early Chapter Book with a novel perspective on some recognisable fairytales Jan 13, 2012
By Cathy OBrien This book is an early chapter book probably of most interest to younger girls who have started to read early. It has very few pictures, just a few black and white sketches at the start and end of each story. The pages have at least 150 words on them which would be hard for new readers to deal with. Using the ballet theme extends the age this book would appeal to which is clever. My 6 year old is struggling to read this herself but is interested enough to want me to read it with / to her.
