Confused Faith Jan 10, 2011
By S. Brogden
"Manfred the wonder Dog"
The back cover calls the author "a dedicated Christian who embraces all faiths." And an excerpt (I failed to make a note of the page number) says that "everything was created in the image of God."
It appears the author, a professing Christian, embraces all faiths. This cannot be reconciled with Scripture (have no fellowship with darkness, etc.). One wonders if the author believes that God's image is in everything, including lost souls and trees? On page 19, the book states, "there is only one Father for us to know; though, there are many ways to know Him." What ways, beyond what the Bible states, are there to knowing God? Do the Hindi have access to Him? And on page 22, we read that all religions (naming quite a few) are "one faith" and "Incorporating the Truth from each of these religions by rightly dividing the Word of God create the oneness needed to understand faith as one system of religion."
Sounds to me that the author is not a Christian, for no other "religion" can have fellowship with Christ. It more in common with universalism, not Christianity.
