4a sweet, sweet book  Apr 06, 2008
Such a wonderful book, especially for anyone with kiddos going through extended illness. There was a publishing error in my copy (one page devoted to pantone colors???) but hopefully that was a one-off error.

The story in this book is so sweet, and wonderful for mommies to read to their kiddos.

5Simple and Inspirational  Oct 04, 2006
This book is written and illustrated simply, in such a way that the profound message is easily interpreted by children.

The moral of the story is that by being sure to make time for "one fun thing" (however simple...can be painting your toenails!) each day, you will smile and bring joy to yourself and those around you.

The book details dinnertime conversation among a family of 4, where each family member shares their "one fun thing" of the day. The mommy then shares her reason for feeling the "one fun thing" is an important thing to acknowledge.

The reading level is challenging enough for my 2nd grader (he read it to his class, the teacher loved it and it sparked great discussion), however it's short enough that my preschooler's teacher was able to read it to 3-5 year olds without losing attention.
