Like a chocolate bar without the calories! Apr 24, 2009 I'm one of the busiest 22 year olds you will ever meet in your life. If i'm not at work or school i'm doing homework and never a chance to do a thing. I had a fellow come in to a place that I work and tell me about this book "One real Mccoy" and told me I had to purchase it. I finally did just so, and I find every spare moment I can to read the book. It's a new age delight! I would rather read this book than eat my favorite foods. Anne Harper did a wonderful job on this book, and I cannot wait for another one. I will read her books anyday over the wierd twilight series. Amazing! Buy a ton of copies and give them as birthday presents it's perfect!

What a surprise! Mar 04, 2009 I was totally delighted to read Anne Harper's first book! It was such a fun read, impressive for a new author. I read it from beginning to end in a heartbeat and am still thinking about the characters.
The style of writing is very witty and without pretention. It left a smile on my face at the end of the day. Can't wait for the sequel!

THIS is the ONE real McCoy! Feb 24, 2009 A hit! Enough said.
But since this won't be published unless it's 75 word or more, so here goes: Unknown author strikes big. Honestly I didn't think I'd like it, but I did. A lot. I laughed. A lot. And loudly.
It reads like a screenplay, and will make a block-buster movie.
The characters are believable and the plot keeps you turning pages.
Harper shows that the chick lit is alive and well, and lives inside the pages of One Real Mccoy.

Quick witted and pure fun! Jan 04, 2009 I read it cover to cover in one day - couldn't put it down!
My only warning: beware of where you read it - you will laugh out loud. After receiving several quizzical (and perhaps annoyed) looks from serious patrons in a coffee shop, I decided to leave. Much more fun to snort in the privacy of my own home!

Breaking the Chick Lit Glass Ceiling! Dec 26, 2008 At last! Someone has written a chick lit novel that is not set in NYC, not about fast-lane career gals, and not about just about love conquering all. In Kelly McCoy, author Anne Harper has given us a refreshing protagonist whose Irish wit and charm keep us smiling throughout the book. An admitted Celtophile, anything Irish interests me, but "The Real McCoy" is a fun read at the beach, on your lunch hour, or in a bubble bath. Lucky the chick lit genre that has authors like Harper who are willing to broaden our horizons while keeping us entertained. Don't miss this gem of a novel!
