KELLY MCCOY about Kelly McCoy Aug 10, 2008
By Kelly McCoy OMG! This book is about ME! Ok, so this is probably the lamest reason to buy a book, but I googled myself (who hasn't, right?) and found One Real McCoy, and the girl has MY name! How cool is that?!! It's really two stories in one - it jumps between Kelly's and everyone else's. Kelly's is written mainly in 1st person through her inner monologue (which btw is uncontrollably funny!) . The other's Kelly ends up helping unknowingly and unwillingly. Everyone is totally dysfunctional, but Kelly sorts them out, without even realizing that she does, or trying too hard.
Really, really super fun! I know everyone says this, but couldn't put it down, and I couldn't stop laughing, because I've been there, done that, and also really want a Matthew spread on a cracker for myself, too! Mmmmm.... I NEVER do reviews, but now I felt obligated to my namesake. Go Kelly! I don't know if this helps at all. I hope it does, cuz the book is just so good!!

Great summer read! Jun 24, 2008

"Chi town chic"
Hilarious! At times I laughed so hard I cried. Right up my alley.
I recently flew from Chicago to London and read this hilarious debut romantic comedy in one go. I didn't even realize that there had been a screaming child in the cabin the whole time, until we were getting ready to land, and I had finished the book.
The story is captivating, the characters engaging.
I would recommend this book to anyone hoping for a fun, fun, FUN read at the beach, on the plane or by the pool this summer. I hope there'll be a sequel.

Like a chocolate bar without the calories! Apr 24, 2009

"Love my "B&R""
I'm one of the busiest 22 year olds you will ever meet in your life. If i'm not at work or school i'm doing homework and never a chance to do a thing. I had a fellow come in to a place that I work and tell me about this book "One real Mccoy" and told me I had to purchase it. I finally did just so, and I find every spare moment I can to read the book. It's a new age delight! I would rather read this book than eat my favorite foods. Anne Harper did a wonderful job on this book, and I cannot wait for another one. I will read her books anyday over the wierd twilight series. Amazing! Buy a ton of copies and give them as birthday presents it's perfect!

Way better than average Nov 19, 2008
By M. Sawander This "chic lit" is way better than average and I read a lot of them. I especially like Kelly McCoy actually being a smart girl. After Bridget Jones all of these girls just haplessly bounce around until they get their man without ever having a clue. Ok the stars might be on Kelly McCoy's side but there's no doubt that this one can take care of herself and would make it in any circumstances. Also it's funny in a way even your boy-friend will appreciate. I'm not going to ramble on since it's very easy to get bored with these reviews. Final words: Buy this book!

THIS is the ONE real McCoy! Feb 24, 2009
By C. K. Olson A hit! Enough said.
But since this won't be published unless it's 75 word or more, so here goes: Unknown author strikes big. Honestly I didn't think I'd like it, but I did. A lot. I laughed. A lot. And loudly.
It reads like a screenplay, and will make a block-buster movie.
The characters are believable and the plot keeps you turning pages.
Harper shows that the chick lit is alive and well, and lives inside the pages of One Real Mccoy.
