Remedies to poverty, pollution and the environment Apr 25, 2008
One of the most thought provoking books I have read. It connects the twin problems of poverty and pollution into a single framework and offers a remedy that not only reduces the social dislocation caused by inequality but preserves the environment at the same time.
The author's analysis of economic problems using the evolutionary and quantum models of chaos is unique. I had not considered that the issues of dominance, competition and sudden bifurcations that are ubiquitous in nature could also manifest themselves in trade. It was amazing to discover that booms and busts of the economy, shifts in hegemonic power, collapses and eruption is nature share a singularity.
