Our Mother Earth Speaks

Filled with affecting biological drama and the sardonic wit of a sharp-tongued naturalist on a mission, Our Mother Earth Speaks by Nikki Isaacs, Ph.D. offers readers a new perspective on how imperative it is that humankind begins to maintain ecological balances. Ultimately hopeful, these disturbing essays and sweeping lyrical poems deal with environmental health and planetary politics and are nothing short of a call to arms. With titles such as “Reflections from a Dying Planet,” “Disappearing Sea Shore,” “If You Were the World’s Mother,” and “Last Dance: Toxic Waste Waltz,” the author communes with nature and shares a missive that the time to act is now. With the sensibility of an ecologist and the unruly passion of a diehard conservationist, the good doctor asks the right questions and offers a thought provoking system’s analysis of the entire universe. Isaacs study is part psychology, part internal medicine; the prognosis is: humankind MUST evolve or die!

Finally an author that hit the nail on the head..This book sets the record straight as to way humans have abused this beautiful planet we inhabit. Our Mother Earth Speaks is a must read. It is astonishing how poorly, we as humans treat our home. The message is clear and to the point. We need to take better care of our home or we'll be in foreclosure with no bail out. Humans have forgotten the practice known as reciprocity. This book should be a required reading.
