A must read for parents and caregivers of a child with autism Nov 20, 2009
I could not put this book down until I finished it as it was so interesting and inspirational. Daniel and Ruth Faiella bravely and candidly share their struggles during their journey in recovering their son, Matthew from autism. From the diagnosis to the traditional and unconventional biomedical treatments they try, you will truly appreciate the dedication they have in helping their son. I have taken so much from this book and will be researching some of the treatments for my own son. Anyone who has a child or loved with autism should read this book. You will undeniably feel a connection to their story and be motivated to keep searching for answers and fighting for your child.
True Parent Warriors Prevail Against Traditional Mainstream Negativity Nov 17, 2009
The Faiella's journey to recover their son against mainstream uproar is nothing short of remarkable. It takes a special family and the Faiella's are definitely that. Their story is so inspirational and something all of us parents of children who think "outside the box" can relate to. A MUST READ to let us know we are not alone in this mainstream society that wants to push "traditional" therapy of treating the symptoms and one that always avoids the question of cause. I truly admire Daniel and Ruth's determination and perseverance to the RECOVERY of their son from severe autism. NEVER GIVE UP HOPE and always let Jesus lead the way.

Excellent book!!! I can't believe what The Faiella Family had to endure in addition to their son having autism. I admire how they dealt with & overcame many of the obsticles in their lives. This book is an excellent resource if you want to learn more about autism treatments beyond your basic biomeds, especially HBOT & stem cells treatment. I have dozens of books on biomed-treament for autism & this is one of my favorites :-)

I didn't put down Daniel's book until I have read it from cover to cover. It is very informative about the latest Autism treatments. But more importantly, his book gives hope to families affected with this misunderstood condition. Daniel's and Ruth's family have overcome incredibly difficult circumstances. Not only they had to fight for their boy Matthew, but they had to do it while Ruth was fighting her own battle. Faiella's family story is an inspirational and full of hope. I am glad I tread the book and you will be as well!

Daniel, Ruth and Matthew's story is not unfamiliar to me. The book gives a glimpse of the journey in an easy to follow way. I found that although I had heard the story, and followed some of it on the families blog, that I found myself becoming emotional of the struggle. I was particularly impressed by the way the story was told in both layman's terms, as well as interviews with professionals to complete the picture. Daniel and Ruth exemplify the struggle that so many parents, that are not in denial over their child's diagnosis, struggle to find answers, treatment, education and hope.
