PTSD Post Traumatic Stress Disorder: A Self-Study on Re-Entry Into Life and Living

This timely material, written from a Christian worldview, stands alone in shedding light on this important issue. The military suicide rate is at a 28-year record high; military-family domestic violence rates are at their highest recorded rate ever. Our Nation has been at war now longer than we as a Nation have ever endured. "America's finest" have shouldered the weight of protecting our nation. Nearly 5000 have paid the ultimate price; many more have been wounded, some physically, others emotionally. From his unique perspective as a Biblical Counselor, Dr. Thomas offers hope for today's military family dealing with PTSD. This timely material, written from a Christian worldview, stands alone in shedding light on this important issue and helps our wounded hero's and their families recover and renew themselves with hope and a future again. This book is well researched and documented. Dr. Thomas effectively uses Scriptures to provide hope for those suffering with PTSD. This study is life changing!

5Highly Recommended for Biblical Counselors  Feb 09, 2011
By Michael Esteban Deguzman
I have read this book and used it a number of times as a Biblical Counselor to work with those who are struggling through returning from Afghanistan and/or Iraq. I've also found the first chapter, that deals with the issue of having genuine faith in Jesus Christ, as a great homework assignment for those who claim to have salvation but do not have any fruit of salvation.

As always, Dr. Thomas does a tremendous job of developing a resource for those who want to give accurate biblical counsel to those who need help with PTSD.
