Paddy O'Possum at Peekachoo's Party

Paddy O'Possum at Peekachoo's Party" is the charming story that illustrates the "Golden Rule". Paddy is ignored at the party by the other animals because he is in a wheelchair. Finally he reminds them how it feels to be left out-something everyone can relate to. This is an important lesson every child should learn: to treat others as you would like to be treated.

By Nikita Puhalsky "nikita puhalsky"
Disabled children have few contemporary role models to demonstrate coping skills and adaption to adversity. Paddy is a possum whose disability occurred recently, he is creating his new identify by discovering what special skills and abilities he has regardless of wheelchair. A great read for those looking to help their children develop empathy or guide a disabled child through a difficult transition.
