Paths to Ponder

“Paths To Ponder” is an anthology of six short stories that explore the lives of fictional characters. These characters represent real people who struggle with the similar problems. It is an attempt to reveal to the Christian that God will help remove obstacles to faith through everyday life. Too many Christians today do not understand the purpose of being able to defend their own faith. Real life often demonstrates the truth of God’s grace if we but recognize it. If we look about sometimes, we can see the hand of God directing our steps. But sometimes obstacles to faith need to be explained. And that is what this book does for it central characters, it allows them, and hopefully us, to see the truth. Jack hates God for taking his family, Alicia hates moral fences, Randy confronts evil too many times, Cameron scoffs at the idea of Satan, Simon doubts miracles, and Emily experiences unforgiveness. Find out how each of them comes face to face with the obstacles before them and how grace helped them through. Fiction? Yes, but we all know of people whose obstacles are real for them and we should not limit God. Many of the incidents of the stories are based on real people that experienced real grace.

5Paths to Ponder - Christ revealed  Sep 14, 2008
By Patricia M. John "Truth Seeker"
Paths to Ponder The different selections in this book brought the realities and faithfulness of the Lord into my thinking. Some made me excited to see God's faithfulness revealed, some hope renewed for the many that will read this also, and some brought weeping for my own experiences. Truly a book that I was able to experience. Thanks, Charlie....looking forward to the next!

5On The Right Path  Jul 26, 2008
By Steven A. Bush
Paths To Ponder, by Charles Zigmund, is definitely a good read. I blitzed through all six stories in about a week's time and found them all to be compelling and the apologetic arguments--solid. The book pulled me through each story, as good fiction should, and the necessary tension "tugged" but didn't "shove" or ever lapse into the ridiculous. The relational dynamics reminded me a little of Frank Peretti but Zigmund's book doesn't venture from realism or orthodoxy. We identify with Zigmund's characters--people with similar heart wrenching stories--individuals who found faith in not so different circumstances. And we can easily root for his characters throughout each chapter because we see in them our friends, family members, and even ourselves. It's easy for me to recommend Paths To Ponder. My daughter, a voracious fiction reader, is presently spending her summer working on her college campus. My copy has enthusiastically gone to her. But you should get your own copy, enjoy it, and pass it on to a friend once you're finished this exceptional book.

5Help your inner compass find the right path  Jul 08, 2008

Charlie's book captures your imagination and your heart. All of us know or have been someone in the books' stories and we can identify with the pressure of choices. His story telling helps you get in touch with the characters and your own journey. Great stuff for teens or young adults or old timers who realize they are off the right path and need to find their way back. Great for group discussions too.
Thanks Charlie---write more!
