An excellent first book! Jan 05, 2009
By M. Sheldon A lot of Mr. Swann's writings hit home for me ... business in the south in the 70's, owners from New York, the young engineer wanting to prove himself. I couldn't put it down! I look forward to more offerings from this writer.

Engaging and interesting Jan 04, 2009
By Elisa Paolo This book is an interesting combination of realistic business sitauations and mystery working together. I have never read a book quite like this, which is why I enjoyed it. I was engaged in the story and learned some things along the way. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

Interesting glimpse into a unique world Jul 19, 2009
By Lee Paez Swann has create a delightful tale, which captures the unique culture of a Southern manufacturing plant during an era of great change. The young hero, Freddie Chapman, faces a variety of professional and personal challenges and matures before the reader's eyes. Humor, wisdom, and magic abound in the manner in which Swann weaves the story to a climax and to and ending leaving the reader hungry to read the next book in his series.
Small Town, Big Concept Oct 24, 2008
By Michael This book is unlikely anything I have read before. It is a unique combination of character based drama and business education. The personal story moves the plot along swiftly. The business issues create tension and conflict that provide nearly as much suspense as a typical action novel. The 1970's setting feels a bit odd at first, but I suspect that future installments in the series will move the characters into more familiar circumstances. I can see this book, and the ones to follow, becoming a valuable and entertaining resource for people just starting out in the business world.
