Perception

The largest chemical plant in Louisiana is decimated, scores are killed and maimed, and the question is why. Is it operational error, terrorism or something else, and in the end it may not be one thing or the other, but both. From a tumultuous corporate boardroom in Sidney to the wily streets of The French Quarter, from a halcyon afternoon in a London park to the shadowy, dense jungles of Guatemala, fierce and unrelenting ambitions collide in a struggle to redefine the global balance of wealth, power and justice.

5WOW!  Jan 10, 2009
By Cherine B. Schofield
This book was given to me by someone who thought I might like it. Wow!
I started reading the book only because it was here and I hadn't already started another...I finished reading the book because I couldn't wait to get to the solution of the crime. Only once before have I rushed through a book to find out what happens, and that was with "The Firm." I rate this up there with John Grisham's best and recommend it highly to fans of his. Move over Mr. Grisham; here comes Mr. Grimley.

5Fast Paced  Jan 06, 2009
By Karl Pizzolatto
This is a fast paced novel with an excellent plot. The author leaves you anticipating "what's next" & then blows you away with unexpected twists to the plot. Difficult to put down. (Kept me up later than I wanted when reading in bed). Am looking forward to next novel.

5Move Over Robert Langdon...Jack Fitzgerald is in Town!  Jan 14, 2009
By R. Sturdy
I received this book at Christmas and put it off to the side with all of the festivities. What a mistake! This fast paced page turner doesn't want to be put down. Mr. Grimley takes you on a roller coaster ride of intrigue with hair pin turns and surprises around every darkened, plummeting corner. Not since "The Da Vinci Code" have I felt that kind of rush from a book. He weaves the tale with wonderfully explicit detail. I could envision Chemtel all alit as the explosion rips through the plant, feel the steaminess of the French Quarter, and even see the alligators basking on the banks of the bayous. Jack Fitzgerald is wonderful as the angst ridden attorney trying to sort it all out. While a fantastic piece of fiction; it is scary how easily something like this could come to pass (and has?). I look forward to Mr. Grimley's next book. I hope that we don't have to wait too long.

5Captivating, Mind Blowing, Chilling, and Unfathomable!!  Jan 05, 2009
By D. Formeller
You'll be captivated and unnerved as this author twists and unravels the actions leading up to the destruction of one of the largest chemical plants of the south. Just when you think you have it figured out, the story takes a turn and once again, you're left hanging on to each sentence looking for the answer. The answer is so simple, yet is it?

5The new website is great! http://billgrimley.com/  Dec 21, 2008

While you won't be able to put this page turner down, the short, fast paced chapters make this excellent book one you can read for just 5 minutes before going to bed. However, this is one for a long rainy/snowy Saturday to read cover to cover. Highly recommend.
