Buying Phrases To Freedom Sep 19, 2011
By Rachel Geller Before I bought this book, I had read about Willem Lammers and his "Logosynthesis" work and it really appealed to me. It included saying certain phrases in order to relieve stress, and I was curious as to how to concoct the phrases. However, I'd never bought a book online before, and I guess I had strong inner resistance to doing so. I wrote directly to the author:
---
Mr Lammers
I would be interested to read your books but I am experiencing a block to buying them. There is no library nearby. Perhaps you have some phrases for this?
In the meantime, I have had some amazing relief from reading your first chapter and your article on AAMET, and practising your sentences. [...]

He wrote back (and I did ask his permission to post this!)

Thank you for your comments.

For the book:
Assess the strength of the block to buy the book, on a scale 0-10. 0: no block, 10: extreme block.
Say the following sentences aloud, without changing anything:
I retrieve all my energy bound up in representation of the power that keeps me from buying Willem Lammers' book.
I remove all non-me energy related to this authority, from all of my cells, from all of my body and from my personal space.
After saying each sentence, count back aloud from 39 to 17.
You can can repeat this a number of times, and allow your Self to go through the process in small steps.
After each round, assess the strength of the block.

I did what he suggested, saying the sentences aloud once each. Then I somehow managed to order the book on Amazon. However, I needed to change my order a record THREE times. I said the sentences again and again. Each time I said the sentences, my eyes went all over the place and I experienced all sorts of cognitive and physiological shifts. As a result, my will was more focused and I took the next step, and the next, until I got the book!
I guess we often have resistance to things that are important to us, and also, there are often a few stages involved in achieving goals. I know, he wrote that in his email but I missed it. I wanted to share my experience here on Amazon for the benefit of people who want to buy it (might as well improve your experience!).
This was a year and a half ago. I have since read the book many times over and used the process for all sorts of problems - relationships, emotional, can't find a solution - and of course, when I can't seem to reach a goal.
I highly recommend this book, because Logosynthesis is an easy process that helps people create lasting change. The only problem I have with it is that I can use it effectively for up to about 20 minutes a day. After that, the effectiveness (of new phrases) seems to die off, until the next day.

Fast, Easy and Effective Oct 26, 2009
By Gloria Arenson This may seem too simple to be true, but who says that something has to be complicated to be effective! Psychologist Willem Lammers maintains that the power of the Word can heal. He offers 2 simple sentences to say out loud in order to heal negative thoughts, emotions, memories and symptoms. Anyone can learn to do this, and once you know the sentences you can do it anywhere and anytime and really get astounding results.

Brilliant, accessible, user-friendly book outlining a fascinating approach to personal change Dec 22, 2010
By Steve Wells, Psychologist Logosynthesis is an exciting new approach to self-development developed by Willem Lammers from Switzerland. This is an excellent book which makes his fascinating and innovative discoveries accessible to the average person for self-help.
We first met Willem Lammers at the Steps Towards Becoming the Ultimate Therapist Workshop which we attended with Gary Craig, creator of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), in February 1998. Willem is an innovator and pioneer and also a great bloke with whom we had an instant accord. We've maintained contact over the years as he's developed various innovations of his own.
A few years ago Willem had an incredible experience with a client which led to him developing the innovative approach he now calls Logosynthesis. That experience is explained in detail in the first chapter of his book but the summary version is that he was working with a client who had a traumatic fall down some stairs which she could not recall any details of, but which had a terribly negative effect on her life.
The client reported feeling "beside my own shoes", meaning that she wasn't fully in her own body, and also reported experiences such as missing locks when reaching to put keys in them. In his first session with her, Willem happened to notice a slight wispiness next to the client and decided to take literally her statements that she was not fully in her body as a result of the traumatic event. He invited her to bring her energy back into her body which she attempted to do. This caused a major emotional meltdown after which the client was ultimately able to recall the entire incident of the fall and overcome it.
Obviously the above description is skipping over many details. The original description is fascinating and can be found in the first chapter of Willem's book.
Willem has since developed some powerful processes for assisting clients to retrieve and release the "frozen" energy which is bound up in problems in a way which is both gentle and powerful. He's also developed a comprehensive theory around this approach which he calls Logosynthesis. As you may guess from the name it is about helping people to find "meaning" in life similarly to Victor Frankl's Logotherapy, however the methods used are unique. Logosynthesis uses words to create profound change. It is a brilliant new approach to personal change and development which really works and I recommend it very highly.

Taste and See Jan 06, 2010
By Thomas F. Dietvorst Taste and see...when you experience the two sentences : ( 1. I retrieve all the energy bound up in (event, person, place) X and take it back to the right place in my Self. 2) I remove all non-me energy connected to (event, person, object, place) X from all of my cells, from all of my body, and from my personal space and send it back wherever it belongs) you are in a place to appreciate the elegance of Logosynthesis. Reading Willem Lammers' Phrases to Freedom: Self-Coaching with Logsynthesis you appreciate the complexity and richness that underlies the seemingly simple sentences and practice. And no well-reasoned rationale or scholarly list of research studies and references or endless testimonials can make up for the direct experience of the freedom offered in the title. Once you experience that you will be motivated to read Lammers' book and read the helpful guidelines to incorporating the sentences in your daily life; if needed, consult the registry of accredited practitioners ([...]<[...]> ); or even consider attending training. Before you experience it, it is difficult to conceive that such seemingly simple words can uncover the psychological and spiritual peace inside of you. Taste and see.
