What a great book. I'm a mother of two, a four yr. old girl and 2 yr. old boy. While my daughter is anxious to go to her pre-school, I could never get her to tell me what her day was like. She did not seem to have any desire to tell me of her activities at pre-school, or what she liked or didn't like about them. If she had made any friends, I did not know. Then I got "the book".
Pippa's Magic Pocket is her favorite book and Pippa is her favorite book character. And now does she talk about her day and not just at bedtime. What a change. She talks about how she felt, how she feels, it is truly amazing. I made her a pocket, she asked for one. But the pocket is just a tool, she's developing a skill.
Her brother has his own pocket too.
