Pitty Pitty Pat

When neighbors make too much noise having fun, the best solution is to join them and have fun, too. High in the branches of a Pawpaw Tree in Bermuda, live two little lizards. Living next to them in the Hole in the Ground are the land crabs, while the Hibiscus Hedge is home to the tree frogs. Each species play games of Roll N’ Race, Tag N’ Chase, etc. accompanied by musical name calling: Pitty, Pitty, Pat, Clickety, Clack, Cheepers, Peepers. However, when the tree frogs peep and cheep, and play all night long, they make such a disturbance, the lizards and the land crabs don’t sleep a wink. To solve the problem, they all join forces to play games of Giggle N’ Hide, Dig N’ Slide, Jump N’ Jump, Leap N’ Leap. They play and call out all day and all night long, and the people, living in St. George’s, can’t sleep a wink. A delightful insight into the flora and fauna of Bermuda, beautifully illustrated to capture the magic and essence of island living.

5Wonderful, refreshing children's book  Oct 15, 2009
By margaret day
The children's book, Pitty,Pitty Pat is a colorful wonderful book for the 3-5 age group. I met this author/illustrator when I was in Bermuda this summer. She has several other books for the 5-10 age group. I bought this book for my three year old grandson and he begs for me to read it over and over. The illustrations are very eye catching for a little one and the rhyming words are a wonderful introduction to the world of beginning reading. I will be purchasing more of her books.
