Poems from the Cactus Café: The Baja Poets

The poets in this book are from different countries, Mexico, Germany, Japan, the U.S. and Poland. Though the group is united in purpose and interest, members come from a variety of cultures with many different viewpoints. Thus, it is a unique blend of personalities, backgrounds, and types of writing. Our poetry includes lyrics, love poems and other forms. “Poems from the Cactus Café” concentrates on styles of poetry from haiku to free verse to that which has both meter and rhyme. In this book we touch different topics, emotions, feelings and philosophical outlooks on life. The poets contemplate peace, relations, politics, society and cultures, using the words to paint a thought, create images, involve ideas or stories between the worlds of fantasy and reality. The writers reveal themselves to the reader, allowing a glance behind their mask.
