3BOWLEYS MARINA  Mar 04, 2009
By G. Richard Poe
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I live on the Chesapeake and keep my boat At Bowleys Marina. I can see Poole island from my deck. The book will become a cocktail table book now. It brings back childhood memories and renews the fun memories of my "ADVENTURES" on the chesapeake.

1The Problem with Publish on Demand boks  Feb 25, 2009
By R. Robbins "Novice writer"
This book may actually be better than my review, but it is impossible to tell. This a publish on demand book, with editing left up to the author. The editting appears to have been done by some Spell and Grammar Check run amok. It makes the book unreadable. One example: in one paragraph is it the "tanner's house" or the "Tanner's house. Page after page of things like that. Also, the writing itself leaves something to be desired. At one point at the beginning there is a group of Indians planning an attack (in 1780s Maryland?- I doubt it)and then we very awkwardly transition back in time to what seems to be the main story. I kept trying to force myself to read through this book but finally gave it up as unreadable.
