Your anticipation of God fosters an internal desire for you to place yourself in the right position to experience Him at a newer level. Every time we are in the presence of God, we should expect a performance of the miraculous. Encounters with Jehovah should be so awesome that they motivate the worshipper to seek God's presence more and more each day. God wants to manifest His glory in us and among us. Your anticipation of His presence is an indication of how much you want to experience His glory and all that emanates from it. One of the worst mistakes a believer can make is to limit God's performance through a lack of expectation or anticipation. Many have heard the saying "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail." If you approach each worship experience believing God will do the same thing He did the last time, you are truly cheating yourself and tying the hands of the Father. Healing from physical and emotional sickness, deliverance from drugs and addictions, the removal of suicidal thoughts, and a release into the divine will of God lie at the believer's disposal. All we have to do is exalt our God, creating an atmosphere for the Lord of hosts to inhabit. In the presence of Jehovah Nissi, anything that stands in the way of His divine plans is destroyed. Every hindrance, every lie of the enemy, and every doubt has to be shaken from its foundation in your life, uprooted by the command of God, and cast into the pits of hell. We should plan, or anticipate, God doing something new and revealing more of Himself to us each time we worship Him. We will never know all there is to know about God, but if we ask Him to show Himself to us, He will reveal a new aspect of His character to us every time we worship.
