Learning to pray Mar 10, 2010

Having been raised Catholic I went through all my classes and learned a lot of different prayers.I havn't been involved with any religion for a number of years, and now, being older, I have made a lot of new changes in my life and one of them was returning to God. I still remember the prayers I learned way back when but the one thing I didn't know was how to pray. This book, Prayer The Gate, helped me to learn and understand different ways to pray, and through this I am able to begin and continue my journey with God.

I'm a relatively new Christian and I really enjoyed Erin Slusher's viewpoint on prayer and praying. She explains different types of prayers, along with good examples and bible verses. She is encouraging while explaining the benefits of praying. It was easy to understand and very uplifting. This is a little book that travels easily wherever you go. I know I will refer to it again.

Prayer the Gate offers inspirational insight into the types of prayer a person can use in life to come closer with God. It offers great examples for each prayer and references scripture so you can use it along with your Bible. I have bought three books so far to share with my friends and family to help them on their spiritual journey. [...]; she has been a blessing to me.
